Small Dead Bird

This was a small project I did a few months ago, around death. This unfortunate bird had been bought in by a cat and this was all that was left.

  1. Once again, marvellous!

Certainly an unusual subject but perfect images from contrast, composition and technical attributes.

  3. Magnificently macabre! My favorite is the skull by itself with a few neck vertebrae still attached. Looks like it should belong on the cover of a horror novel. Some of the vignetting on the other photos looks a little artificial, but otherwise nicely done. 🙂

  4. Reblogged this on The World in Twilight and commented:
This really jumped out at me today, and I just had to share it. Sometimes simple subjects can be very powerful. Skeletons are supposed to be hidden, not bare. A macabre little series of photos worth seeing for yourself.

Such a different subject to photographer but absolutely enthralling – fabulous captures!

Very beautiful. I like how this little bird gets to live on forever in your photos.
