Is there anything more magical than a dog and beautiful sunset?
I had the privilege of capturing the gorgeous Alfie at his stunning home.
Sunset (or sunrise) is the best time of day for a photoshoot, not only does it create the opportunity to capture this beautiful time of day but it is also when lighting is the softest, creating soft lines and no harsh, unflattering shadows.
So a while back I decided to have some fun… I hand painted a new background and just had to test it out ASAP!
Here I used natural light to do a beauty styled photoshoot for myself, there are several challenge that come with self portraiture but I am so happy with how these photos came out. I am also so in love with the backdrop that I brought it with me to the United Kingdom when I moved and now I can wait do use it again.
Oh my… I am so excited to share these beautiful bride and groom portraits.
With such a beautiful couple and stunning location it makes the photography part really easy.

I have had the pleasure to photograph the Bodenstein Family for three years, they are such lovely people always happy and ready to try new and fun things, so naturally when they contacted me to book the lavender mini session I was beyond excited to see them again, especially in this crazy beautiful lavender field.
I love seen how a family grows over the years and having the privilege to capture them as they grow each year is such an honour for me.
As an animal lover I fell head over heals involve with Storm, she is such a well behaved little girl and her pet session was one of the easies photoshoots I have ever done.
Storm and Kate are such a well suited pair, the love they share for each other is beyond words and you can see their connection in every look they share and each command Storm obeys.
I couldn’t have asked for a better photoshoot to start of with after moving to the United Kingdom. I could spend all day every day photographing owners and their pets, each one shares such a special connection beyond words. I truly believe animals have the purest of souls and this is shown in their unconditional love for us.
What can I say about Rebecca and Adam… Just WOW.
I had such a wonderful time with Rebecca and her husband Adam. They were absolutely amazing, braving the cold weather with me and making just the most adorable couple.
I know cold weather can be a bit daunting for a photoshoot however it can be so much fun on a couples photoshoot as it is such a great excuse to cuddle up with you loved one and get some great cozy photos.
The stunning wedding of Karen and David -27 August 2016- at the beautiful Langvervagt in Cape Town.
I was second shooter for Jeanine Bresler at this lovely couples wedding last year.
Cowgirl Liah had her 8th birthday party in a beautifully decorated barn with a pink cowgirl theme.
There were horse rides for everyone and feeding of all the farm animals, as well as a tractor ride around the farm. The barn was truly beautifully decorated with straw on the floor for a truly unique party location. Sadly Liah was a bit sick but she pulled through like a champ and still had a blast.
Photographed this beautiful group of people for their house dance a few months ago.
All dressed up and a beautiful venue with a lovely sunset in the background nothing can go wrong. It was a pleasure working with them.
Family christmas shoot I did for this beautiful family, they are just so much fun to work with that it hardly feels like work. We played around with some fake snow, decorated the tree a bit and even had a surprise early christmas present from santa. I photographed them for the first time last year, also for their christmas shoot, and I just loved seen them again this year.
This year for christmas I bought a new wood themed backdrop and I think it works beautiful to add warmth and touch of home to the images.
